Anger is not appealing...

Proverbs 22: 24-25 NKJV
24 Make no friendship with an angry man, And with a furious man do not go,
25 Lest you learn his ways And set a snare for your soul.

Angry Bird T-shirts are really popular right now and it appeals to little kids and grown men alike, but as they make it seem fun and okay to be angry... The truth is anger is dangerous and should be taken seriously...  I'm sure there are many people in jail who at a bit of rage and anger, or even a lifestyle of anger resulted in them facing the consequences...

Who Got the POWER?...

Who's Got the Power?
Do you really want it all...
Whole world in your palm, tell me...

Pride come before the fall I seen the script...

The Latest Album from Lacrae: Gravity is out and the song "Power Trip" is probably one of my favorites right now, and I say right now cuz I got it on constant replay even as I type this until I move on to the next song... I'm just digesting the lyrical content and concept, message and truth fully encapsulated in this song.  When I listen it seems like a reply to that Kanye song which I don't even know the title but I think it's "Power" cuz the chorus is kinda the same...  I hope Kanye listens to this song and makes him really listen to the lyrics and look more into what LaCrae is all about as far as being a Christian...
---
Big Bucks no Whammies!...  Jay-Z got the Black album cuz he likes to stay in the Dark, but he may think he got the Power but he needs to really ask himself: Who Got the Power?...  In fact, we should always ask ourselves that question as we attempt to take control of our lives.  Instead follow God and let Him lead us with HIS POWER...
----
Colossians 2:10
And you are complete in him, who is the head of all principality and power

9/11

9/11

It's hard to believe that it's been over 10 years since that tragic day, but it's definitely has change life in the USA and possibly worldwide.  I was at home that morning just flopped my lazy butt on the sofa trying to wake up by watching some TV before I eat breakfast when it was all splattered on the news...  At first, it didn't seem real until I saw another plane just crash right into the building and I woke up quick!  It was unbelievable, but it was definitely reality and my heart just dropped...

I recall that later that day I reported to work in the afternoon and we were told that work was cancelled due to the current situation and the days after seemed really gloomy, but soon after recovery was taking place and God was moving in peoples hearts.  I pray that as we remember this day that we will once again acknowledge God and remember how much we need Him not just in crisis, but because Christ is our center...  Our Lord and SAVIOUR who we need daily...

Can't Stop Time...

Time is a wasting...

Seems like there is so much to do but so little time and we all know that we can't stop time or turn it back so a good question to ask ourselves these days is...

What are we doing with our time?

LIFE is like a race...

It's been a while, but I finally laced up the running shoes and took a nice run around the my hood...  I only ran about 1.5 miles before my knees started to ache a bit and walked another half mile.  Hopefully I can get back on the routine and start running races again, but it's all about having fun and staying in shape.  So, as I ice up my knees and type this...  Let's run this race to the finish...

LIFE is like a race when you think about it.  There are those who don't even know they are in one and get disqualified.  Others who are aware yet do not care about the outcome or if and how they finish.  Then there are those who start off great but give up soon after and those who sprint the whole way only to hit a wall and not finish.  Then there are those who take their time and walk the whole way til it's too late... Then there are those who have trained and disciplined themselves to be conditioned to handle the stresses, distractions, and desires to quit that they are able to block out with a goal in mind, to finish...

In LIFE, we mess up and at times get sidelined, but the key is to keep getting up and stay on course...  Let's cheer each other on in this journey and most importantly remember that we can't do it on our own.  I know I depend on my relationship with God to help me daily and it's only because of Him that I am able to continue with this race or I would have quit a long time ago.

“…. since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.” Hebrews 12:1-3

It's June BOOM!!!

June is often referred to as "June Gloom", but this month I'm looking to make it BOOM!  I've kinda fell off the bike the last many many many months and activity wise have been so busy that I haven't been active and eating really unhealthy.  So I decided to make it BOOM in June and get back on the Iron Horse to have a balanced life.

BYOB T-Shirts
Last month I also set some pretty high standards and goals for the business.  I was able to meet and actually exceed above and beyond what I expected.  Yet, the reality of business and doing business means that we also have to count the cost of doing business which makes reality more clear in perspective to what needs to be done in order to create something with longevity.  It can become overwhelming to try and put all these thoughts and ideas into action when it seems like everything is against you, but that's when I have to take a step back and examine my motives.  I am not trying to wear myself out trying to get rich, but I'm on a mission to go about doing something that I am passionate about.  That in itself is a success because I am stepping out to attempt something outside of the norm to stay in a cush job and just settle for a steady paycheck... which btw is a good thing, thank God for that steady income but it's not for everybody and at times it almost becomes a means to an end...

I can't pretend that I truly love what I do, but there is a difference from loving it and appreciating it... believe me, I appreciate it 100%! It's amazing and yet there is a part of me that just wants to let loose and do what I believe God has put in my heart to do which is become an successful entruepruener (I probably need to learn how to spell it first).  At the same time, I won't lie and say I never second guess myself or think that maybe I got it all wrong.  It's been a struggle for so many years living in the middle and never really jumping in and saying I'm gonna do this!  This year seems to be the year that I'm all in whether I succeed or fail because I do not want to live with regret and feel dissatisfied that I could of and should of...

Lots of changes have taken place and will continue to take place as I see it and all I can do is look to the one thing that never changes, the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow... My God who is in control and my job is to make sure I'm following the leader to lead the way.  I think it's okay to make mistakes along the way, as long as I don't make the mistake of trying to go my own way.

After the Long Weekend... Back to burning the Midnight Oil...

It's been about a week since I've posted on the blog, but after the recent long weekend in which I took advantage of the Holiday and took a little break it was back double time on the grind this week...  It's nice to have those long weekends, but seems like you return to even more work, but THANK GOD IT's FRIDAY... well Saturday now as I write this, but the work continues...  Trust me, I'm thankful for work and the opportunity to play.  It's a privilege and not everyone has the chance to do it so I'm not complaining, but definitely looking forward to returning to this place...  For now, it's time to put on those running shoes and run thangs! Work, Play, LIVE|LIFE and GIVE THANKS! Thank you JESUS!

Burning the Midnight Oil

Burning the Midnight Oil

Okay so it's not midnight yet, but it's getting close to that time, but there is still much to do, yet the feeling that completion is getting closer and near is a great feeling considering the results that come out of it... Faithfulness is pleasing to the Lord.  I confess I procrastinate quite a bit, but I am always looking for ways to change that and tonight was another one of those nights...

I got something in mind...

I got an idea in my mind that started last Saturday after I was exposed to something I've seen before but never really connected it to what I'm doing now...  Okay so I'm speaking in codes...  I guess because I'm still trying to work out this creative thought in a way that will be executable and successful... But the good news is I think I'm on to something workable and fun!!!

BYOB T-SHIRTS: Florida Bound...
BYOB is going to FLORIDA!..
It's the first week of May and I have set some ambitious goals! I am excited about this month to see plans develop and executed.  I am also honest in my expectations... I commit my actions to Lord and His ways always prevail so its always a win - win situation regardless...

This week I'm sending out orders placed in Florida and excited about their excitement to receive the T-shirts. I have had good feedback and responses which I hope will continue to help in the development of future designs that will be successful in regards to sales.

Overall, it's about taking small steps with giant leaps of faith and faithfulness. It's a learning process and the learning curve is improving with each step.  Knowledge is powerful and the more I know about the industry then success is even closer.  Most important, I want to have fun along the way...  I'm not trying to wear myself out trying to get rich... It's the byproduct and wealth is not always the measure of success...

Clipper Fan makes Half Court Shot and Wins a new car!

On April 16, 2012 @ Staples Center - Los Angeles CA.
CLippers vs. OKC: During the break a fan had a chance to win a brand new car if he made a Half Court shot - It happened to be his birthday and he made probably the biggest basket in his LIFE.

The Awesome thing was that it was his (the Fan) birthday and I've watch this done at the game so many time, but for some reason I just felt like he was going to make it so I decided to take a video and I'm glad I did... As you can see from the reaction people were surprised and happy for him! It will definitely be a memorable birthday and be reminded of it everytime he steps in his new car...

But what I will remember most is that even though he(fan) made that shot, I'd selfishly like to think he made it for my wife who's birthday was also on that day... lol... We definitely have lots to give thanks for and all of God's blessings without a new car... It was a fun moment we can look back on...

Shirts Done Wrong... means, I gotta just keep doing them till I get them RIGHT!

I am a Blake Griffin fan and saw a design online that I really liked, so I decided to make a T-shirt out of it...  I enjoyed wearing it to a Clipper game before washing it, but then catastrophe happened! It was another "SHIRT GONE WRONG!" moment... Now, my Muppet models can wear it or I can continue to use it for bed or while working on my car... Nevertheless, this is an example of a shirt done wrong...  The picture shows some ink bleed...  It's still wearable but not the intended result.

Fortunately, I've had the opportunity to design and print shirts for various organizations, friends, clubs, and companies for practically free or cost but one thing that continues to prevent me from fully stepping out into the business world of sales is the inability to perfect the printing process...  Many of them continued to request if I could make more T-shirts for them and I did so with some hesitation knowing it was still works in progress, but they were informed and willing since most of the time it was just for an event to be worn one time...  I also like to help if possible since I do know the actual cost involved in purchasing custom made designs and prints which ussually require minimum runs. Yet, I fully understand the disappointment when a perfectly good T-shirt was amazing before you wash it and remarkably useless afterwards...

Obviously, I enjoy designing and printing T-shirts, but what I do not like are the outcomes thus far...  I could easily outsource and leave it to the so called "professionals" but at such a small scale it really does not make any sense to do so at this time which leads me to continue to attempt and master this craft and the painful task of having to wash shirts again and again to determine if inks bleed, fade, or disintegrates into pieces of what use to be a design on a shirt...

I humble myself and put a disclaimer to the people who have requested me to print T-shirts that I am NOT A PROFESSIONAL! But I love to HELP if I can and so far it has worked out great...  But recently, I have had to deal with the situation of an UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER - although I can not really call them Customers since I really do not charge, except take donations if they insist...  Nevertheless, this issue of "SHIRTS DONE WRONG" occurred and has given me more passion to pursue an answer to DO SHIRTS RIGHT!!!

Therefore, I've decided that I will no longer make shirts for the purpose of practicing on their behalf but instead make shirts for the purpose of the love and enjoyment I have in doing them for myself and anyone who does not mind accepting gifts of T-shirts that are works in progress with the chance the the inks may bleed, fade, or blow up in their faces... lol...

I am so thankful for those opportunities to use my resource and they have helped lead me towards making this a legit business.  I know that once this business has been fully established there is NO ROOM for ERROR or mistakes.  I want to embark in doing things properly and it's just part of LIFE and LIVING IN FULL EFFECT!

I would appreciate your continued support and hope that you continue to take time in following my progress as well as interact by making comments, subscribing, follow and like us on Facebook...  If you are in business and want to network or give advice, ask questions... I would love to hear from you...  Thanks again for reading. God Bless!

Today we Celebrate LIFE with the RISEN CHRIST!

Today we celebrate THE RISEN CHRIST and give thanks with JOY to our RISEN SAVIOUR who has given us VICTORY over sin through His death and resurrection.

Lord, thank you and may everyday be a celebration reminder that you are in heaven and have prepared a place for us as well, by your grace and mercy are we given this opportunity with the price you paid as the ultimate sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins on the cross - an undeserved death for you were sinless, but bore our sins to save us from eternal damnation. Thank You Jesus!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

R.I.P to RUBY: Welcome Home

Shine Brightly in Heaven...

Today we were informed from our boss that our co-worker who was recently diagnosed with cancer had died.  It was terrible news in light of the recent death of another co-worker this week.  Although many of us were aware of the circumstances surrounding her death it definitely did hit many people hard including myself. I had spent a very brief moment of time with her but looking back I thank God for that opportunity because it made such a big impact in my life even now.

It's interesting how someone you barely know can impact your life.  The more I think about the past week and my co-workers that God has allowed me to spend time with before their death, I am humbled and reminded of the brevity of life.  It actually brings tears to my eyes and encourages me that the Good News needs to be shared as a daily part of our lives.  I am glad to say that I will one day see her again in heaven and find peace in knowing that she has gone to be with the Lord.  Yet, I can't truly explain the sadness and grief that I am feeling.  It is bittersweet, but SWEET indeed to know that she has completed her race and is truly in a better place.

I know that she had her struggles while on this earth and had battled against sin, but we all have and continue to do so.  Thank God we find our source of strength in Jesus, as well as forgiveness and freedom from sin thru the blood Jesus has shed for us.

Before she died, I recall a few conversations we had in which she was so thankful to God even in the midst of the diagnosis.  I really don't know how to express it except God's grace and love shown in her circumstance.  She was a strong and independent women who lived her life according to how she pleased, but when her physical strength and independence was affected due to the disease she had no other choice but to let go and place God where He belongs which is FIRST and only FIRST...  God restored her Spirit and she just kept giving glory and thanks to the Lord.  It is amazing and I think the best part of all is she returned to her FIRST LOVE Jesus and is now with Him forever and ever, and ever for ETERNITY...

Just like many of us who have faced difficult circumstance and have had no where else to turn, the only place left was to depend on the LORD.  Ideally GOD should always be number ONE whether things are great or bad.  Yet it is easy for us to forget God in the midst of our daily living.  We get busy or feel like we are in control. Maybe we just want to do our own thing and leave God somewhere distant until we need Him..  Yet, God remains the same and is always there for us like a good shepard calling our name to bring us back to safe refuge.  When we do not listen we open ourselves up to many things that we probably would not do otherwise.  Nevertheless, we will be humbled... We will one day whether on earth or eternity be reminded and judged accordingly, but God gives us opportunities to do so while on earth...

The Good News! Whether you have never known Christ or have strayed away... He always welcomes us with open arms, all we have to do is acknowledge our sins, mistakes, habits and hang-ups to Him and ask for His forgiveness and help.  Trust and believe that He has forgiven us and died on the cross to prove that point. He is RISEN! He has given us freedom to LIVE|LIFE to the FULLEST for ETERNITY where Jesus is alive and has prepared our place when He calls us home, but until then let us continue to seek Him daily and make Him the Boss of all bosses, the King of all kings, and Lord of all lords...  LIVE for HIM and our death will just be a continuation of LIFE in Heaven.

Ruby's death is a reminder of the brevity of LIFE, but LIFE is available with GOD for ETERNITY... I'm glad to be able to see my friend again one day in Heaven and we know it is all because of Jesus! Thank You JESUS!

R.I.P - D.R.E.

R.I.P. to D.R.E: I hope to see you in heaven one day...

Today I got word that my co-worker died and it definitely took alot of us by surprise.  In the brief time we shared together he definitely made a lasting impression in my heart and mind, a reminder of how precious and unpredictable life can be.  Here today, gone tomorrow...  I didn't even get to say goodbye, our last day of work we didn't get to see each other before leaving work...

Monday came and he was on my mind, I sent him a text before work with reference to the recent Lotto fiasco, the last time I saw him he actually bought a lottery ticket for me because I insisted that I did not want to join a Lotto Pool at work, but he said "I don't care, I'm gonna buy you one and put your name on the list because I don't want you to be the only one left here when we win all that money".  Thinking of it now, he had the actual thought to think about me and insisted to plead his case...  Yet, I had the ticket to heaven and did not have that same persistences to tell him more and more about Jesus...

It makes me think about the things we had a chance to talk about and reflect on what I wish I could have said, or have been more persistent in saying...  Without getting religious or seem insensitive, I have faith in Jesus Christ and follow His teachings in the Bible which say, Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the LIFE.  He died for my sins and has forgiven me, but more so... He rose from the dead in VICTORY of those sins...  This is our ticket to heaven, Jesus allows us entrance...  I enjoyed our conversations and opportunities to share my faith, but honestly I thought we would have more time...  Obviously, he is no longer with us physically...

Me and Dre had the chance to discuss this briefly before he died, but at the time he had the thought "it's just a cycle", he didn't believe in heaven or hell... or at least never really thought much about it.  To him it was just the "cycle of life" and he was focused on today and living on earth to do the best that he can...  No doubt, just like many us - we are all trying our best to do our best while still on earth, to LIVE|LIFE to the FULL, enjoy our family and friends, provide and take care of responsibilities, but there is definitely more to life than living on earth.

There is a CREATOR - God who we will meet once again, but it's either in a place of PURE RIGHTEOUSNESS in which GOD resides or hell in which He is distant and people are separated because God is so pure that He can not let or allow evil in his presence.  The GOOD NEWS - JESUS is our way to heaven by faith and acknowledgement of what He did for us - To make him our LORD and SAVIOUR.

It's always sad to find out that someone has died - my prayers go out to his close family and friends who are grieving in the process.  I hope to see my friend once again in heaven, an entry into heaven has definitely made available to us thru Jesus, but let us not wait before it's too late and also tell others about the Good News.
